August 4, 2023, also known as the food update, is an update in BedWars that added food lucky blocks, changes to map saves, and other changes.

Content

Additions

• Added food lucky blocks.
• Added condiment guns.
• Added fork tridents.
• Added can of beans.

• Added hotdog bats.
• Added new maps.

Modifications

• Modified a few kits and items.
  • Decreased Elektra dash recharge time from 7 seconds to 5.5 seconds.
  • Increased flamethrower base damage from 4 HP to 5 HP.
  • Armor is now always discounted when using Merchant Marco.
  • Decreased camera turret knockback by 25%.
• Increased Forest enchant tier 1 max HP increase from 1% to 1.5%.

Bug fixes

• Fixed tesla coil traps attacking teammates when an ally leaves.
• Fixed shopkeeper locations on the Dome map.
• Fixed scythe and great hammer hitboxes when using controllers on mobile.

Other

• Added a copylock map setting for Map Saves.
• Added thumbnails to published maps.
• Reworked the Blossom map for 5v5.
• Reset statistics for published maps.
• Maps must now be played by other players before being published
