The battle duck is a hostile entity that is spawned from a battle duck spawn egg. It can attack alongside the player.

Attacking[]
When a battle duck detects an enemy within a ~10 block radius, it will start chasing them until the enemy either gets killed or when the enemy is too far away from the duck's detection radius. They will damage enemies dealing 25 damage every 0.3 seconds, equivalent to the swing rate of a sword.
Patrol[]
Ducks will move in random directions to cover as much ground as possible. However, because of this, they may accidentally fall into the void.
Breaking Blocks[]
When a battle duck gets stuck on blocks, they will break the blocks in front of them to keep moving.
Auto-bridging[]
Similar to penguins, if over the void or chasing a player, battle ducks could place blocks beneath their feet rapidly whilst running.

Trivia[]
- Battle Ducks have the same AI and pathfinding as the penguins meaning it has a lot of properties similar to penguins, like patterns, abilities like block-breaking, and being able to build on air.
- The battle duck's original model was going to be a Brown Mallard, another type of duck.
- The only way to bypass the Battle Duck spawn limit is to use the /spawn duck_entity command.
- Battle ducks are able break beds if they were to be trapped beside a bed.
- There was a glitch when the ducks could break the player's team bed.
- It would not send a notification regarding it, however.
