Abilities[]
Falcon[]
- Main article: Falcon
Pressing R will summon a target GUI. Clicking on an area in the map will summon an falcon from a portal which will circle around the radius. The falcon will target one person in the radius and attack them periodically, dealing 14 damage. The selected enemy will be notified that they are being targeted via a reticle on them. The falcon has health and will die after taking 100 damage. If the falcon's target has been defeated or if the player is too far from the falcon, it will automatically return. Pressing R again will allow Bekzat to manually change the falcon's target that is within the radius, if the falcon is full health. Pressing Q will make the falcon retreat into the same portal it came from and slowly restore health.
Featherlight weaponry[]
The featherlight bow, featherlight crossbow, and the featherlight headhunter are available for purchased with 32 Iron, 8 Emeralds
, and 25 Emeralds
instead of their normal counterparts from the Item Shop. Shots fired at the enemy the falcon is targeting will deal 50% more damage, and using these weapons does not slow down the player's movement speed, allowing for aiming and sprinting at the same time.
Strategy[]
Bekzat's role as a ranger comes from his unhindered movement with his exclusive weapons and the increased damage he can deal thanks to his falcon. His falcon can deal damage to enemies or lock an area for himself early game, and he can also use the falcon to target foes and deal increased damage should they step on his territory. The increased damage lets him scare off foes should they not come prepared, and his ability to run and shoot at the same time makes him hard to catch. He's a great runner and damage dealer who can sweep the battlefield early.
FOR GAMES THAT INVOLVE 8+ TEAMS, use Bekzat's falcon to deal damage to the point where you can kill the nearest enemy in a duel confidently, and then break the bed and wipe the team. This is to solve any issues with increased prices and also adds a second generator, expanding your "empire" to new heights.
The ranged weaponry Bekzat has allows him to deal increased damage and aim without slowing down, albeit at a slightly higher cost. You'll need to deal with slightly increased prices to get the exclusive bow early game, but It's a price worth paying should you get some extra iron. Later on, prices won't hurt as much and you should be able to comfortably get a crossbow and potentially a headhunter. It's a good idea to chase enemies with these ranged weapons because a lack of slowdown makes it much easier to catch them. You could also run and bow spam to make distance, just be careful where you're running or you might fall.
The falcon is a powerful tool for dealing damage as it can be sent very far and covers a large area. It's a nuisance that might make enemies think twice about heading to certain areas, and It's great for when the enemy can't get a clear shot on the bird. Have the bird out for when you're attacking enemies for increased damage, but make sure to put it away if you know players will try to shoot it down. Your interference might be enough to let the bird stay in the air while you fight, serving as a chip hitter that can distract and annoy enemies.
On the topic of enchants, Bekzat could work with any enchant and get good value out of it. Fire and Static are the typical enchants for increasing damage, but unfortunately they don't work with the falcon. Stacking Critical Strike with his guaranteed crits will allow for even more damage, but perhaps guaranteed crits are better than random ones. Since he can harass enemies well, It's a good chance for Plunder and Forest to be used as he can just run away while reaping the benefits. Lifesteal is just a good choice in general, and this pairs much better with the heavier weapons. Execute might allow Bekzat to chase and kill enemies more efficiently, but this might just be a stretch.
The abilities Bekzat has allows him to solve two issues that ranged weaponry usually have. The first is when you get slowed down and are jumped for it, with Bekzat's lack of movement penalties completely removing this problem. The second is how ranged weapons can't always get the hits needed to keep an opponent pressured because of a wall or dodging. With his falcon's help and its targeting mechanic, he can send the falcon to deal chip damage and prevent passive healing, and the falcon might even eliminate the target outright. Bekzat solidifies his role as a ranger not just through his extra damage potential, but also the ability to hit & run and also harass, two things valuable to have for a ranger.
