Duels is a gamemode added in the September 3, 2021 update. This features 2 teams of 2 (2v2). Upon winning a round, the player is awarded 100 XP 
XP in the Battle Pass, similar to 30v30.
Joining[]
The Duels gamemode can joined by interacting with the queue, using the "play" button or joining via Custom Match.
Objective[]
The objective of Duels is to eliminate all members of the opposing team. This is accomplished by destroying the opposing team's bed and then killing all members of the other team.
Maps[]
Duels maps usually only have diamond generators and two emerald generators, however generator speed is slightly increased, similar to the 30v30 gamemode.
Strategy[]
Duels is a gamemode with two players on a team. Therefore it is recommended to play with a friend (so you have more synergy and communication). You will likely need your bed to survive teamfights since both players on the enemy team can target you or your teammate and eliminate them before you can kill them. Also, this gamemode is all about controlling the middle of the map.
Instead of going for movement kits, go for the Infernal Shielder - Eldertree combo. The Shielder can block arrows that can shred the Eldertree's health points and receives reduced damage just by equipping the kit. The rest is history: win the first teamfight in mid (if there is one), control mid, and use the resources you have to eliminate the team before they get a chance to respond.
Another good strategy is to be Terra and tell your friend to go with Pirate Davey. At early game, get Stone Axe and Pirate buy the cannon. Don't use the TNT to break ores. Terra uses it, then Davey does and break it. Now, place the cannon and shoot Davey's TNT at enemy's bed and right after it explodes, terra uses his Stomp Ability and break the bed.
Trivia[]
- Like 30v30, this gamemode has been removed and added several times.
- The Mystic map has 4 diamond and emerald generators for an unknown reason.
- Titans and Diamond Guardians are disabled in this gamemode.
