The Grim Reaper is a kit added on August 9, 2021. His special ability lets him reap the souls of defeated enemies, gaining buffs temporarily. He can be unlocked by purchasing him directly for 10,000 BedCoins or 399 Robux , by opening him from a lucky crate, or by being gifted him by someone else via Robux . He is in the fighter class.

Abilities

Soul Reap

When the Grim Reaper defeats an enemy or gains an assist, the enemy will drop a soul orb that can be reaped/consumed by pressing F. When the soul is being reaped, it will heal the Grim Reaper rapidly in increments of 2 health to a total of 25 health, increase his movement speed by 1.8x, and make him invulnerable for 2.5 seconds. He is also unable to attack enemies and break blocks while consuming the soul, but he can still place blocks. Souls present on the map will despawn 9 seconds after dropping.

Strategy

The Grim Reaper is a versatile kit that can easily take out squads when used correctly. For instance, after killing a player, you can quickly consume a soul orb and run away. On the other hand, you can get a speed boost and quickly catch up with those running from you. In addition, the Grim Reaper can be used in the Infected game mode to infinitely gain heals and become invincible. While he can be tempting to equip at first sight, he is only useful once he kills an enemy player and offers no other PvP benefits. If a group of players are shooting at you, you can take out an enemy and then use the soul consume ability to quickly get to them without taking any damage.

Trivia

• The Grim Reaper is one of the four kits that uses a different Roblox animation while moving. The other kits that use a special animation are Nyx, Crocowolf, Crypt, Umeko and Death adder
  • Due to this, it is much easier to be bounced off a block while jumping, especially if it is higher than the player, resulting with that he can jump 3 blocks.
• The Grim Reaper is the first kit that can become invulnerable to attacks, with the second being Umbra.
• Knocking enemies into the void or shooting them off will still make them drop a soul, but it will be at the bottom of the void and impossible to collect since the enemy died in the void.
• Soul orbs display enemy display names of the enemy that was defeated.
• The mechanic of grim reaper is similar to warden.
• There is a bug where if the player consumes another soul orb while still transparent, it will make the player permanently transparent unless they die.
• There is another bug where if the player consumes a soul orb while already consuming a soul orb, the second soul orb will not get consumed.
• The Grim Reaper used to be able to mine blocks when consuming soul orbs, but that was changed, likely to balance the kit.
• The look of Grim Reaper is similar to the Void Regent.
• There is a glitch where the Grim Reaper can still be damaged while consuming a soul despite being invulnerable.

• Players can still take knockback from a spirit if they are consuming a soul.
• Players can still get frozen by Freiya's freeze ability when they are consuming a soul.

• Players will levitate off the ground by 0.5 blocks if they are not using the kit skin.
• Players can still consume soul orbs while dead if they are near them.
• Players can sometimes suffocate while having the kit skin equipped.
  • This has been patched.
• Before the Rapid Regen enchant was removed, players using the latter enchant while consuming orbs could heal at rapid rates.
• Grim Reaper is similar to Reyna from Valorant in terms of gameplay, with Reyna's ability being able to consume an orb after killing an enemy to gain health and invincibility for a short amount of time.
• There is a bug where if the player has the Grim Reaper's regular kit skin equipped while using a firework cannon, a R15 rig will appear in the kit's outfit.
• The Grim Reaper's gamepass has the most likes out of all the gamepasses in the game, having over 12,000 likes.
• The soul that players drop when killed by the Grim Reaper look similar to the tree orbs exclusive to the Eldertree kit.
• The Diamond and Platinum Victorious Grim Reaper skins used to use the same render.
