Health is a GUI that represents the player's health. It is displayed at the bottom of the player's screen above their hotbar. A player starts the game with 100 health, however it can be changed in a variety of ways.
Losing health[]
Players can lose health in a variety of ways such as:
- Getting hit by a weapon from someone on an enemy team or an enemy NPC.
- Falling into the void.
- Falling from a height taller than 5 blocks. (Fall Damage)
- Getting blasted by an explosive, such as Fireballs, TNT, or Spirits.
Players and entities will die if their health reaches 0.
Regaining health[]
Players can regain health by:
- Natural regeneration by being out of combat for 5 seconds (This is not true for the Nazar kit)
- Consuming a Health Regeneration Item. (ex: Health Apple, Golden Apple)
- Getting splashed by a Heal Splash Potion.
- Being in range of a teammate's Heal Banner.
- Being in range of a Scepter of Light.
- Being in range of a First Aid Kit.
- Collecting a Soul Orb.
- Respawning.
- Receiving healing from another player using the guitar.
- Receiving healing by damaging enemies as a Void Angel.
- Receiving healing by damaging enemies while having the Lifesteal Enchant.
- Receiving healing from Sheila's Seahorse.
- Receiving healing from a Light Angel if the Light Angel is the player's teammate.
- Receiving healing from a Health Regen Axolotl when below 50% health.
- Receiving healing from damaging an enemy with a Void Axe.
- Receiving health from Whisper's Spirit Owl.
- Healing from Second Wind relic when below 35% health.
- Healing from Unity relic when near a teammate.
- Healing from Melody's Lullaby relic when within 22 blocks of the bed.
- Regenerating from Traveling Merchant's Vitality.
- Receiving health from Fortuna's Energy Drain card.
- Receiving health from Noelle's Blessed Slime.
Maximum health[]
A player's maximum health is 100 HP. Once they are at the limit, they cannot surpass it, with a few exceptions.
Players can lose maximum health by:
- Using Hannah, Aery, Void Knight (90 HP Max Health Base) or Hephaestus (30 HP Max Health Base).
- Getting hit by a Void Sword. (Reduces Max HP by 10% for 15s)
- Getting hit by the Xu'rot Void Breath. (Reduces Max HP by 10% for 15s)
- Getting attacked by a Void Scorpion. (Reduces Max HP by 10% for 15s)
- Geting the Feeble status Effect (Reduces Max HP by 50% for 30s, can stack duration).
- Getting the Health Decay status Effect (Continues reducing Max HP every hit).
- Consuming the glitched variant of Big Shield (sets Max HP to 1).
- Losing the Forest Enchant.
Players can gain maximum health by:
- Consuming Vitality Stars or being in range of a teammate consuming one.
- Collecting Tree Orbs.
- Attacking players with Forest Enchant (if and only if a seedling over an enemy's head is triggered).
- Having the Forest Enchant. (10 HP upon receiving)
- Purchasing Nature's Essence. (Removed Relic)
- Forging armor in the Forge. (Removed)
- Transforming into a Vampire with the Cursed Coffin. (Removed)
Shield[]
Shield health is an effect that allows the player to absorb extra damage. All incoming damage reduces the shield health before reducing the player's health. Shield health can be gained by:
- Consuming a Mini Shield.
- Consuming a Big Shield, or its glitched version.
- Having a Shield Axolotl.
- Mounting a Dodo Bird.
- Holding a Turtle Shell.
- Imprisoning souls as Warden.
- Teleporting to spirits as Evelynn.
- Picking up Batteries.
- Using a Gumdrop Bounce Pad.
- Attacking with Frosty Hammer.
- Using the Shield Gen enchant.
- Using the Spirit Bridge.
- Using the Grimoire, with a chance of getting 100 shield.
- Attacking with Eldric's Warlock Staff will grant shield each tick.
- Using Hephaestus Kit.
