January 19, 2024 is a major update in Bedwars that reworked the Freiya kit, added the Map Decay map mechanic and multiple customizable keybinds.

- Players can now change their keybinds in the settings menu.
- Reworked Freiya and the ice sword.
Freiya no longer needs to damage players to unlock her ability.- Enemies with full stacks now have the Brittle effect applied to them, making them take 4 extra damage with every attack.
- Freiya can now detonate frost stacks to deal damage and gain extra frost damage.
Freiya now applies frostbite stacks instead of frost stacks.- The ice sword now applies 2 frostbite stacks and 3 extra brittle damage instead of amplified slowness and extra frost damage.
- Removed the ice bar.
- Freiya can no longer slow enemies.
- Buffed and nerfed several items.
- Increased shield axolotl shield HP from 6 to 10.
- Decreased price of the break speed axolotl from 1 Emerald to 80 Iron.
- Decreased price of the health regen axolotl from 6 Emeralds to 4 Emeralds.
- Buffed the elk.
- Decreased the amount of energy used when ramming.
- Increased elk speed boost.
- Increased uppercut ability range.
- Increased uppercut damage from 20 to 24.
- Increased uppercut knockback.
- Increased ram damage from 10 to 20.
- Increased ram knockback.
- Increased the chance of getting emeralds from a petrified player.
- Petrified player mining drops now scale based on the enemy's armory.
- Increased Elektra's dash regeneration time from 10 seconds to 12 seconds.
- Increased hammer cost to fortify blastproof blocks from 1.50 to 1.75 times the cost of the block.
- Increased hammer cost to fortify non-blastproof blocks from 2.25 to 2.50 times the cost of the block.
- Decreased the spawn rate of metal detector treasure.
- Decreased metal detector loot gain.
- Increased the infernal shield's energy required to leap from 100 damage to 130 damage.
- Decreased seahorse healing and damage.
Bug fixes[]
- Fixed bug where Noelle could duplicate slimes.
- Fixed the Armory section showing up in Winstreak.
- Fixed the inventory opening when closing a menu.
- Fixed mount movements for controllers.
- Fixed controller abilities bound to the A for button (Xbox) or (Playstation) X button.
Other[]
- Removed every winter map and reverted the lobby to the original.
- Disabled charging gloops to fix issues relating to them.
