The July 12, 2021 update, also known as the music update, is an update in BedWars that added the Melody kit and two new maps.

Additions

• Added the Melody kit.
• Added Guitar.
• Added two new maps: Pinefall (doubles/squads), Campsite (16v16)
• Added ally indicator to nametag.
• Added support for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
• Added Win Streaks.

Modifications

• Nerfed the Bow.
  • Increased bow reload time (0.8s -> 1.0s).
• Nerfed the Crossbow.
  • Increased crossbow reload time (0.8s -> 1.3s).
• Nerfed the Tactical Crossbow.
  • Increased tactical crossbow reload time (0.8s -> 1.3s).
  • Reduced tactical crossbow knockback by 30%.
• Buffed the Infernal Shielder kit.
  • Reduced shield slowness (40% -> 25%).
• Made the Archer Kit and Builder Kit free.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the Instant-Break pickaxe glitch.
• Sprinting is no longer cancelled upon taking damage.
• Fixed ziplines flying off into the void.
• Fixed ziplines not destroying when hitting some walls.
• Fixed respawn countdown timer.
• Fixed a glitch where random items were causing immense amounts of lag for servers.
• Improved spectator controls.
