Kaliyah is a kit added on September 23, 2022. Her special ability lets her punch enemies after attacking them enough to knock them against walls, burning them. She could be unlocked by reaching level 50 in the Season 6 Battle Pass.

Abilities[]

Fiery Punch[]

Damaging an enemy adds a stack of Dragon Rage to them. Projectiles do not add stacks. Reaching 3 stacks on the same enemy allows Kaliyah to punch them by pressing F, dealing 6 damage with 70% Armor Penetration. She will also knock the player back by 6.6 blocks (+ some additional excess knockback) and stun them briefly. If the punched enemy hits a block, punch damage will be increased to 28 and be burned by 'Fire 1' for 2 seconds. Wall punches also destroy breakable blocks around the punched player in a small radius and set flammable blocks on fire.

If Kaliyah's target gets knocked into a wall, all other enemies in a 7 block radius are burned as well and take smaller damage. The punch can be activated from up to 5 blocks away. There is a 10-second cooldown before stacks can be applied again to the same enemy. The damage of her punch can be increased with damage upgrades, forging and enchants.

The number of stacks needed to perform a fiery punch can be seen above the enemy's head, indicated by the dragon symbol, which is made up of 2 horns and a face. On the first stack, the left horn lights up red. The second stack makes the right horn light up, and the third stack has the whole dragon head light up.

Strategy[]

When using Kaliyah, always try to get the first hit. If the player you are versing is at your skill level or lower(try to observe) then fighting them straight on is a good idea. If the player you are fighting seems to be better than you, it may be better to go where the void is near, because it is extremely hard to block or telepearl clutch after getting “Kaliyah Punched”. It is also good if you fight near the enemy's bed, as the punch can break blocks. Later on in the game, it is recommended to buy fireballs, as one fireball can charge up the punch straight away if it is in the radius of the enemy player. If you are low on health, punch them as soon as possible and then bridge up as fast as you can, telepearl out, or escape in another fast way.

Trivia[]

If a Kaliyah defeats an enemy with her punch, there is a chance that the dealt damage will be displays as infinite ("Inf").
Before September 30, 2022, there was a bug where Kaliyah would permanently ragdoll a player, rendering them invulnerable.
- Despite it being listed as fixed in the patch notes 2 different times, this bug has only been patched at an unknown date during Season 7, probably in a secret update.
Despite being projectiles, Fireballs can add stacks of Dragon Rage.
- TNT explosions, Beehive Grenade initial explosion and Black Hole explosions can also apply stacks.
- Stacks can also be applied by damaging enchantments - Fire, Static and Forest.
Before the July 19th, 2024 update, Kaliyah could add stacks of Dragon Rage onto herself.
- Activating the punch ability would flask the screen black for a moment and trigger the Anti-Cheat.
As of February 17, 2023, Kaliyah can no longer punch entities or clones.
Kaliyah has the second most nerfs in the game at 12. The kit with the most nerfs is Fortuna at 14.
- If counting the seahorse nerfs, Sigrid is number 1 at 28 nerfs total, with Sheila being 2nd with 17 and Fortuna at 3rd with 14.
Kaliyah is also known as the "Dragon Warrior" or "Fire Dragon".
During season 8, Forging could increase the damage of Kaliyah's Punch, allowing Kaliyah's impact punch to reach extremely high value if combined with the Critical Strike enchant and Team Damage Upgrades.
- Dagger's 40% damage boost from the dash attack also increases punch damage for its duration, and it still does to this day.
On rare occasions, the punch can deal infinite damage to the enemy (works on air and wall punches), even when the punch damage wouldn’t be enough to kill the enemy with it.
