The lobby is the starting place in BedWars upon joining the game. Players can join gamemode the lobby, currently they can join either the Squads, Doubles, Lucky Block, Ranked (Squads), Duels, 30v30, or the Solo gamemodes. Players can also open Lucky Crates at the Crate Altar, create a custom match in the lobby and verify their Discord account as well. It was removed for roughly 2 seasons, and then was added back on the February 16, 2024 update.
Content[]
NPCs[]
There are many NPCs in the lobby. Seven of them allow the player to queue for various gamemodes. One allows players to create a custom match. Another allows players to verify their Discord account, which grants players a 20% Battle Pass XP bonus. Another is just in the background.
Buildings[]
The Blacksmith shop. (Removed in Season X)
There are many buildings scattered around the lobby, including two angel statues, the bedwars news stand, multiple pegasus status, a statue of a woman holding a sphere, a floating moon, two identical towers, multiple giant trees, a glowing astrolabe, and a giant orb.
Obstacle Courses[]
There are three parkour areas around the map with two only leading to the top of trees, while another leads to its own island.
Portals[]
There is a portal in the lobby which teleports the player to the AFK Area. The AFK Shop is also right next to this portal.
Kit Display[]
There are many kit displays in the lobby. When a player interacts with any of the kits, it will open up the kit shop.
Boards[]
There are 2 boards in the lobby: the monthly wins leaderboard and the player stats board. The monthly wins leaderboard shows the top 100 players with the highest amount of wins per month and the top 200 highest ranked players, and at the very bottom, it shows each individual player's position and wins per month. The monthly wins leaderboard resets every month and is located right next to the Islands portal. The player stats board shows a player's global totals (which includes total wins, bed breaks and final kills) and also shows the player's stats (which includes the number of bed breaks, final kills, wins, highest streak and current streak) for each of the seven gamemodes.
Easter Eggs[]
Lava Cave[]
There used to be a cavern with lava pools, it had a parkour that brings you to a platform with a lava cube. There was also a key somewhere in the cavern, which emitted fire particles but did not do anything. You used to reach the cavern by following the directions below:
- Walk under the building to the left and in back of Taliyah.
- Go under the bridge behind said building.
- Continue left and up the side of the terrain, until you find a hole with magma.
- Stick to the left until you reach the cavern.
Jack-O'-Lanterns[]
There were 3 Jack-O'-Lanterns in the Lobby, two behind a smaller rock near the Squads NPC, and the third one was larger than the other two, which was located in front of a taller rock, also near the Squads NPC.
Rageblade in a Meteor[]
You used to be able to go behind the Ranked Match Queue, there was is a bridge that will lead to an island which consists of 2 penguins. But underneath the bridge players can find a cave with a Rageblade stuck in a meteor. This is likely a reference to the infamous Excalibur.
Frozen Dodo and Dodo Shot with Missile[]
You used to be able to go behind two penguins next to the stats board would lead to a bridge with a frozen dodo and a dodo shot by a missile.
Sign under the map[]
There was a location under the map with a sign.
It was written on the sign "howd u get here, dude".
Players could access this location by using a hang glider.
Prop Hunt Easter Egg[]
Below the spawn area, there are some props from prop hunt in an icy area.
Trivia[]
A player at the top of the windmill.
- Players can indeed, get to the top of the windmill.
- The Custom Matches NPC is currently placed offset, facing backwards instead.
- Players can also get to the top of the windmill without touching the ground.
- Players can type /lobby to get to the lobby when in a match.
- If no friends are in the current lobby, the /lobby command will teleport the player to the same server
- For one day, the info board showed how many games the player lost.
