May 12, 2023, also known as the traveling merchant update, is a major update in BedWars that added the traveling merchant, the Headhunter, and huge changes to core game mechanics.

Modifications[]

Standing near the team generator in 30v30 grants 50% damage resistance and knockback resistance.
Changed many kits, items, and mechanics.
- Decreased crossbow damage from 45 HP to 40 HP.
- Changed the price of ziplines from 60 Iron to 1 Emerald.
- Decreased fireball burn damage per tick from 5 to 3.
- Decreased diamond drops from diamond guardians from 5 Diamonds to 3 Diamonds.
- Decreased diamond and emerald gain scaling from ores.
- Increased healing from damage by 2.5% for the Lifesteal enchant for all tiers.
- Decreased Warrior armor cost from 10 Emeralds to 8 Emeralds.
- Increased guitar healing from 22 HP to 25 HP.
- Adjusted Zeno and the wizard staff.
  - Zeno now spawns with Zeno's twig instead of a wood sword.
  - Increased stone sword cost for Zeno from 20 Iron to 40 Iron.
  - Removed horizontal knockback from the wizard staff.
  - Increased wizard staff lightning strike damage from 10 HP to 15 HP.
  - Increased wizard staff lightning strike radius from 4 blocks to 5.5 blocks.
  - Increased wizard staff lightning knockback.
- Removed Whisper's owl projectile 20% knockback multiplier.
- Decreased Whisper's owl healing speed boost from 30% to 20%.
- Adjusted Drill.
  - Half of all resources are now stored inside the drill.
  - Any player can now withdraw the resources within a drill.
- Changed melon seed growth time from 2 minutes to 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
- Satellite dishes are now purposefully dysfunctional in 30v30.
Reduced knockback.

Other[]

Added a toggle button in the settings for mobile joysticks.
Added the /setknockback <number> command.
The /shopitem command now works with kit-exclusive items.
