TNT is an offensive block that can be used to destroy placed blocks. However, it cannot destroy map generated blocks or blastproof blocks.
Obtaining[]
Purchasing[]
One TNT can be bought from the item shop for 35 Iron
. Players using the Pirate Davey kit can buy them at a reduced cost of 30 Iron
.
Fishing[]
The player has a chance of obtaining 2 - 5 TNT from fishing.
Usage[]
Exploding[]
A picture showing the blast radius of TNT on a flat surface. If TNT is placed on the center, anything on the blastproof ceramic is blown up, and anyone on the wool is hit by TNT
The explosion from the TNT can damage blocks, excluding map-generated and blastproof blocks. It also deals damage ranging from 0-75 based on an entity's distance from the explosion. Weaker blocks such as wool and oak planks can be destroyed in just 1 or 2 explosions. Stone is exploded in 4, and Obsidian is destroyed in 40.
Launching[]
TNT can be fired from a cannon, launching two per each TNT.

Trivia[]
- A placed TNT does not have collision turned on, this means entities can walk through it.
- Exploding and killing the player themselves yields them a kill. The same goes with other explosives.
- This glitch has not been patched.
- When placing down a TNT and then shooting an projectile at it, the TNT will be pushed in the direction of the projectile and obtain 25% of the arrow's momentum
- The blast of TNT varies depending on the block placed. Weaker blocks like wool will take more damage from TNT than stone bricks.
- It is stronger than a fireball, doing more damage to blocks, players, and also inflicting more knockback.
- Using the command "/edit flat tnt [number]" will spawn a block of TNT that does not explode.
- There was a glitch where players using the Barbarian kit could get rage by exploding themselves. This was later patched in the October 2, 2021 update.
- A similar glitch can be seen with Trinity and Aery, in which players could damage themselves with TNT and die, awarding them a kill.
- The update on February 25, 2022 patched this TNT glitch with Aery.
- A similar glitch can be seen with Trinity and Aery, in which players could damage themselves with TNT and die, awarding them a kill.
