The tesla coil trap is a block that was added on the September 17, 2021 update. It can be used to deal static damage to enemy players nearby.

Usage[]
Damaging players[]
The tesla coil trap will attack any nearby enemy players. It deals 3 damage and has 40% armor penetration. Only one tesla coil trap can be active for each player, and placing a another trap after will destroy the current trap placed down. It also applies the Zapped 3 effect which reduces healing on affected players by 85%. If a nearby enemy has the Titan's Blessing effect, then the player's tesla coil trap will be disabled until the enemy goes out of range.

Trivia[]
- The tesla coil trap has no collision, meaning players can pass through it. (TNT also shares this property.)
- This has been removed. The tesla coil now has collision.
- Brittle from flamethrower used to work with tesla coil traps, dealing an large amount of damage that penetrates armor.
- This was later patched.
- In the Infected gamemode, tesla coils placed by humans will damage them if the human who placed them dies or leaves.
- This is due to the server always defaulting to the zombie team, even if the remote sent to the server specifically states that the player who placed the coil is on the humans team.
- If a player who placed a coil leaves the game or dies, the coil will attack any player who goes near it. This is caused when the player who placed either leaves or is eliminated, as the tesla coil only attacks players who are not on the same team as the placer.
- There was a glitch with the tesla coils where you could place infinite amount of tesla coils.
- This has been patched
- Another glitch is to make the tesla unbreakable. By placing 2 beds on top of a tesla covering it full. After breaking the two beds the tesla coil will become invincible.
- The tesla coil trap cannot be purchased in the Penguin Survival mode.
- The tesla coil trap is affected by the Electrified relic.
- The tesla coil trap does not affect entities.
