Triton is a kit added on June 28, 2024. His special item is the trident, which he can throw on walls or enemies to leap to them. He can be unlocked by purchasing him directly for BedCoins 10,000 BedCoins or Robux 399 Robux , by opening him from a lucky crate, or by being gifted him by someone else via Robux Robux . He is in the Movement classMovement class.

Movement class Abilities[]

Trident[]

Triton can buy the trident from the item Shop for 40 IronCroppedIron, which can be thrown to walls and enemies. If the trident hits one of them, Triton will instantly leap there if the direction the trident was facing is the same as the direction he was facing upon throwing and will return to Triton if the following requirements were not met or the trident runs out of flight power. The trident itself has a range of 28 blocks, but can go up to 30 due to the hitbox of the trident. If the trident hits a wall, Triton will latch on it for a couple seconds before dropping (represented by a blue bar), or he can drop early by jumping . If the trident hits an enemy, Triton will deal 28 damage to them upon arrival. He will also stun the enemy up until he arrives. After every trident throw, there is a cooldown of 10 seconds shown by a purple bar on the trident's hotbar slot before it can be used again.

Ranged class Strategy[]

Triton can latch to blocks for a higher time than the Trident cooldown, this allows you to wait out the cooldown while grabbing onto a block and reposition using the Trident. If you latch to a singular block, the cooldown will be shorter, make sure to aim for walls or pillar-like structures.

Triton's range is high, but you still should measure range by seeing where the aim line starts to arc.

The Trident must be kept equipped during the full throw process, unequipping it will disable the Trident from working. While you are latched to a block, the Trident must be kept equipped or else you will let go of the block earlier.

The Trident has a lot of use for closing distance against enemies trying to zone you out with ranged weapons, doing this will catch them off guard and get you tons of early hits since they are stunned. The Trident can also be used mid-fight to get 1 or 2 free hits on the enemy because of the stun ability, this gives it potential to close distance and also for close combat PVP, making it very versatile in range terms as it can also pull you upwards.

If you are in a tough spot, cling onto a wall and home teleport. You can recall while clinging onto a wall with the trident, and if enemies hit you they fall into the void, but you don't. You float as long as the blue bar doesn't run out. This can be useful in outnumbered situations. Please note to keep your trident in your hand as if you switch a slot, you fall into the void. Switch when you're back on land or ready to block clutch.

Fighter class Trivia[]

  • This kit was first used in Kit Rotation during the August 23, 2024 - August 30, 2024 week.
  • This kit is aquatic themed.
  • This kit came out a week after the Marina kit came out.
  • Triton has the same name as the largest moon orbiting Neptune and the Greek God of the sea.
  • This kit is similar to Jade and Void Regent, as all three of them have a mobility related item for 40 iron in the Item Shop.
  • Most likely being a glitch, if Triton succesfully lands a trident throw on a surface without latching onto it by any means, he can once do an extra jump midair or jump sligtly higher until he removes the trident from the active inventory slot (in case he had it equipped when the dash started) or 10 seconds pass.
    • This allows to jump up to 4 blocks with a singular jump.
  • The hit indicator is not always completely reliable, and can rarely indicate that the trident will succesfully hit when it actually will not (or, even less commonly, the other way around)
    • Namely, when attempting to throw the trident on the edge of the surface under sharp angles or on the ground below own level in first person at high range while moving forward
  • Trident seems to be following logic similar to Telepearls in the sense that, when thrown onto a side or bottom of a block, it will prioritise teleporting a player to the nearest solid ground, only then following their normal behaviour if unable to.
    • This allows to go through 1 block-wide ceilings with the trident.
      • Though, this "adjustment range" seems to be lower than of Telepearl's (1.5 blocks instead of 2.5).
  • Usability questionable (and is almost certainly a glitch), by using the trident and a Telepearl in a specific order, Triton can remain latched onto nothing on the spot he got teleported to.
